Andrea Valentina Murillo Saenz
Artist & Textile Designer
I am a Honduran-American artist and textile designer, crafting whimsical and vulnerable worlds through imagery and sculpture. My work dances between melancholia and playfulness, inviting viewers to explore the beauty in life’s small moments—whether it’s a young man joyfully building sandcastles or a group of friends sharing a picnic, reminiscent of Cézanne’s The Bathers.

My art offers a glimpse into the eclectic pages of my journal, filled with curiosity and imagination. I reinterpret society's rigid structures, transforming them into charming and eccentric creations.

Through my work, I delve into themes of death, heartbreak, love, lust, and the delight of fluffy clouds and kittens. My goal is to encapsulate the essence of being alive while encouraging a sense of silliness—because art, like life, is best enjoyed when we stop taking ourselves so seriously.
